New Album

Well, I haven't had time to translate much, but I'll give you more news.

Ibara no Michi, a single, was released on 5/26. The title track is the opening theme to a drama called 娼婦と淑女 (The Prostitute and The Lady).

It's been awhile

Hey, for those of you following my blog, I'm sorry that I haven't been posting any translations lately. I've been busy.

Since a lot of you are here because of my Tsubakiya Quartette translations, I thought I'd let you know that the guitarist, Yasutaka Takurou, has decided to leave the group. The group blog, which is written by the lead singer Nakada Yuuji, had this to say:

もうオフィシャルの方でご存知の方もいらっしゃると思いますが、
昨日のカーニバルツアー終了をもって
ギタリスト安高拓郎が脱退する事になりました。

You probably already know this, but yesterday the Carnival Tour ended, and it has been decided that Guitarist Yasutaka Takurou will leave.

具体的な理由や内容は一度に伝えられるほど簡単なものではありません。
数えきれない程の沢山の葛藤の末に出た答えです。

There is no specific reason or detail that can be conveyed so simply all at once. This is the answer that came at the end of countless conflicts.

ツアーも終了、新曲のタイアップ決定という
本来喜ぶべきポジティブなニュースと同時に
このような報告をしなければいけない事を
大変心苦しく、申し訳なく思っています。

I am sorry for giving you this kind of heart-wrenching information at the same time as the positive news that we finished our tour and are tying up things on a new song.

俺はこの四人でいる椿屋四重奏を本当に愛していました。
ツアー中、脱退が決まったとき
ひとつ大きな夢が消えてしまったような気がして
正直な所、喪失感で途方に暮れていました。

I really loved the four-person Tsubakiya Quartette. During the tour, when his leaving had been decided, I felt like one big dream had disappeared, and to be honest, I was confused with a feeling of loss.

でも仕方なかった。
もうお互いに同じ理想を共有しながら
このまま続けていく事が出来なかったんです。

But it can't be helped. While we all shared the same ideals, we couldn't keep going like this.

何度も何度も話し合い、なんとか解決は出来ないかと
全員で努力しました。でも限界だった。
いっそ解散しようかとも考えてました。

After talking together many times, we couldn't reach a decision. We all tried our best. But it was at its limits. I thought that we might as well disband.

ツアー中に発表しなかったのは、ヤッチンの責任感です。
最後の水戸ファイナルまでは、椿屋四重奏の安高拓郎として居たいと。
そしてもちろん、俺達も居て欲しいと。
湿っぽくなるのも嫌だしって。

Yacchin's sense of responsibility didn't appear during the tour. Tsubakiya Quartette's Yasutaka Takurou wanted to be with us until the finale at Mito. And of course, we wanted him to be there as well. But it would have been bad to be gloomy.

最後に唄った嵐が丘は、俺からのはなむけでした。
どうしても唄いたかった。

The song, "Arashi ga Oka" that we sang at the end was a farewell gift from us. We wanted to sing it no matter what.

アイツは本当に心の優しい男です。
沢山助けられたし、アイツのおかげでバンドが楽しかった。
これからは思う存分自分の好きなように自分のやりたい事をやって欲しい。
俺には無いいろんな面白い才能もある。
いちヤッチンファンとしてこれからを期待してます。

He's a really happy guy. I was helped by him a lot, and thanks to him, the band was enjoyable. From now on, I want him to do what he wants to.
He has many talents that I don't.
I am expecting to be one of Yacchin's fans.

そして俺は彼の脱退を無駄にしないよう
椿屋を続けていかなきゃ。止めるわけにはいかない。

And I will not stop his departure.
Tsubakiya has to continue. It doesn't mean we're stopping.

でも一度終わりです。

But this is one ending.

ヤッチンが居たこの五年間の椿屋四重奏は解散しました。

The Tsubakiya Quartette of five years with Yachhin has dissolved.

もう一度ここから出直しです。

We will adjust once more from now on.

これだけで終わると悲しいばっかりなんだけど、
今はヤッチンもメンバーもすごく前向きです。
延期になった宇都宮、埼玉、水戸の３本は、本当に心から楽しかった。
きっと忘れないでしょう。

Ending with just this is so sad, but now both Yacchin and the members will look forward/be positive.
The three postponed Utsunomiya, Saitama, and Mito concerts, I really enjoyed them from my heart.
I surely won't forget.

アイツの新たな船出をどうか温かく見守ってあげてください。

I'm glad that they're not breaking up, but this post was very sad.
